O.k, I'll be honest there are days when I feel like I need another cup of coffee. You know the double-espresso to the brim kind of day.
When stress comes---and we all know it DOES come--how to you deal with it? Do you curl up in a fetal position and wait till the storm passes? or Do you attempt to lean your body straight into the wind with all your might--pushing past the obstacles? or Does your temper shout out like a boiling teapot?
If you use some simple tips every day--when stress rolls around you can handle it better.
Drink Water-H2O----It does a body good, people! If you feel like fatigue is coming on-drink a big glass or two of water. Fatigue is a first sign of dehydration.
Exercise-If you move your body by walking, jogging, cleaning house, anything that gets the heart pounding-you will reap the benefits by having more energy throughout the day. Even sitting at your desk for long periods of time has been shown to cause more stress. Get up! Move around and stretch. Every day, tell yourself to MOVE! It doesn't matter what it is just move. When you exercise your body releases endorphins that act as painkillers and happy-makers all-in-one. Its a good thing. Exercise allows your body to release STRESS!
READ the BIBLE!-God's manual for living. If you have a problem-God has the solution. His promises are found in the pages of His word. The word of God is armor!
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil doers, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:13-17, NIV)
These are just a few of the things that we can do to combat stress in our lives.
Be Blessed-Less Stressed and Put On The Full Armor of God!
