The Day before Thanksgiving

Yes, you heard me, it's the day before Thanksgiving. Here in Florida it is often hard to get in the "Thanksgiving" spirit because there are no leaves turning stunning colors that make your heart melt, the weather isn't cold (we're all wearing shorts and the A/C is on full blast), and there is no snow in the forecast. Even though there are plenty of 'no's' in the the Fall for Florida there are more 'Yes's" to be thankful for.

Yes, we have yummy food in the fridge.
Yes, we have a roof over our heads, clothes on our backs, and shoes on our feet.
Yes, we have clean running water and electricity.
Yes, we have vehicles that work.
Yes, we have our health and the health of our family and friends.
Yes, I have a wonderful husband and children whom I love.

Most of all we have Jesus Christ, who blessed us by dying a terrible death so that we may have life. I'm reminded that this sinner is was unworthy and in bondage, but by the Grace of God I have been set free.

This 2011 Thanksgiving I am thankful for so many things. This year we saw many HIGHS and LOWS but we trust that God has the ultimate plan for our lives and we honor Him when we relinquish our control to Him.

Thank you Lord, for all things and for all the blessings you have bestowed on us.

Be Blessed, Less Stressed and Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!
